JUSTICE FOR SHOLOM
Sholom Rubashkin is being denied proper religious accommodation in prison, as his state trial for child labor violations begins, according to the Des Moines Register.
After Rubashkin and his attorneys complained that he was being denied his yarmulke and religious garments, Judge Nathan Callahan said Rubashkin does not have to be present at the trial, and it may proceed without him. And, he said this:
“I’m not trying to be disrespectful of anybody’s religious traditions or beliefs,” Judge Callahan said. “But I’m not derailing this proceeding because of his choice.”
SHOLOM RUBASHKIN SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN SEEKING JUSTICE AND PRACTICING HIS FAITH!
WHAT YOU CAN DO TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR SHOLOM RUBASHKIN:

and defending themselves in a court of law!
BROWN You told Karina you were 17 and you told the inspectors you were 17? And they let you go back to work?
